Jichao Qin received his PhD degree from Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, where he engaged in clinical and research work at its affiliated Tongji Hospital. He later spent a total of four years as a postdoctoral fellow at renowned institutions such as the MD Anderson Cancer Center in USA. His research focuses on tumor stem cells, tumor cell heterogeneity, and the tumor microenvironment in gastric and colorectal cancer. He is currently the director, a professor and chief physician in the Department of Gastrointestinal surgery at the First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine. Dr. Qin has extensive experience in the field of gastrointestinal surgery, particularly in the diagnosis and treatment of various gastrointestinal diseases.
