Dingxiao (Jerry) does research in Genetics, Cell Biology, Stem cells and Cancer Research. The Zhang Lab currently studies RNA binding proteins (RBP) and cancer stem cells (CSCs) in prostate tumorigenesis with a goal of identifying vulnerability to treat aggressive prostate cancer (PCa). Overall, the lab is using genetic mouse models, cancer cell lines and xenografts, as well as human primary tumor samples and investigator-initiated trials (IIT), to investigate the PCa development and progression in order to find potential cures.
