The international journal Cancer Heterogeneity and Plasticity (CHP; https://pivotscipub.com/chp), published by the Pivot Science Publications (https://www.pivotscipub.com), is turning 1 year old!
The CHP may be the only peer-reviewed biomedical journal dedicated to dissecting and understanding the heterogeneous cancer cell populations and their inter-relationship and relationship with various non-cancer cell populations in the tumor microenvironment. CHP also aims to quickly translate our newly gained knowledge to the clinic to help develop novel combination therapy strategies to treat cancer.
In the past year, we have assembled an outstanding Editorial Board consisting of 23 internationally renowned experts on this topic (https://pivotscipub.com/chp/editorial_board). We have obtained the ISSN for the journal (ISSN 2818-7792). Importantly, we have proudly published 11 peer-reviewed papers including 2 Research Articles and 2 companion Commentaries, and 7 Reviews and Perspectives (https://pivotscipub.com/chp/1). As the inaugural Editor-in-Chief, I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to the CHP Editorial staff Ms. Ellen Lu and Ms. Evelyn Liang for their professional and outstanding work in launching this unique journal and starting the publications. I also would like to sincerely thank dozens of scientist reviewers (https://pivotscipub.com/chp/1/2/0012) who spent their precious time in helping evaluate the submitted manuscripts.
Looking forward in 2025, we shall add more experts on the Editorial Board, and we expect to publish several dozens of new papers on the topic. The journal will adopt a new publication format and submit the DOAJ/Pubmed applications. Notably, the journal will have a presence in the International FASEB Research Conference “Cellular Plasticity in Cancer” that will take place in Hong Kong, May 4−8, 2025 (https://events.faseb.org/event/Cellular-Plasticity-In-Cancer/home). We are committed to elevating the CHP to the next level.
