The urgency to shift from conventional fossil fuel-based energy sources to sustainable alternatives has never been more pressing. This Special Issue we present here summarises the essence of our collective efforts to navigate this unprecedented energy transition, from conceptual frameworks to applied solutions.

All manuscripts will be selected from the papers which will be presented at the International Conference on Energy Transition and Exhibition 2024 (ICETe 24), held in Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia from September 5th to 7th, 2024. The theme of the conference is “Transition for the Future Energy”, where we accept original technical papers and mini reviews on a broad spectrum of research and applied areas concerning the transition towards a sustainable and resilient energy future.

The topics of interest to this Special Issue may include the following key topics:

1. Renewable and Sustainable Energy
2. Clean Transitional Energy
3. Advanced Green Materials for Energy Solutions
4. Waste Energy Recovery
5. Automation in Energy System
6. Energy Policies.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor been under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings). All manuscripts will be thoroughly refereed through a single-blinded peer-review process. A guide for manuscript submission is available at Submission Instructions.
